Behind the game
The Bingo Lab
Great nights are built before the first song plays. The Bingo Lab is where Ready Set Music Bingo designs and tests its games, so yours runs smoothly and plays fair.
We do the homework for you
Here is what changed in simulated nights once the lab went to work.
Repeat winners, then and now
Someone wins 2 of the last 3 prizes
Repeat winners per game
Fewer multi-winners
Nobody likes watching one player collect everything. We use the lab to make sure prizes are spread around, the luck is still part of the game, and every once in a while there's a big winner, but we've made some big improvements.
Ties, then and now
Ties per game
A tie for the final prize
Fewer ties
Ties are part of bingo, but fewer of them means more clean wins and fewer tiebreakers slowing the room down.
Playlist homework and pacing
We are obsessed with playlist quality and freshness. Songs are reviewed so the game starts strong and keeps the momentum going all night. Prizes arrive all evening, from the early game through the last prize of the night, so there is always something about to happen.
Simulated at 90 players on two-card sheets, comparing our games before the lab with how we run them today.
Before the lab and today
These results come from simulated nights of Music Bingo with 90 players holding two cards each. We compared our games before the lab with the games we run today.
| What we measured | Before | Today | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ties per game | 1.29 | 1.02 | 21% fewer |
| A tie for the final prize | 31% | 19% | 37% less often |
| Repeat winners per game | 1.19 | 0.74 | 38% fewer |
| Games where one player wins 2 or more prizes | 74% | 56% | 24% fewer |
| Same player wins the last 2 prizes | 9% | 6% | 33% less often |
| Someone wins 2 of the last 3 prizes | 24% | 11% | More than halved |

What is the Bingo Lab?
The Bingo Lab is how Ready Set Music Bingo designs and tests its games before they reach a room. It covers fair play, the rhythm of the night and the quality of the playlists.
Do you steer games toward certain winners?
No. The luck stays in the game. The lab exists to make nights feel fairer, not to pick who wins.
Does the Bingo Lab make a difference?
Yes. In our simulations at 90 players, ties per game fell 21%, repeat winners per game fell 38%, and a tie for the final prize dropped from 31% of games to 19%.
How often does one player win several prizes?
Less often than before. In our simulations of nights with 90 players, the chance that someone wins 2 of the last 3 prizes fell from 24% to 11%, and the share of games where one player wins 2 or more prizes fell from 74% to 56%.
When do the prizes land during a night?
They are spread across the early, mid and late game of a 78-song night, so something is always about to happen. In our simulations the first prizes land around song 15 and the last prize around song 65.
